ABOUT TODD ROWELL

Todd Rowell is a Western Slope native. He grew up in Delta County, and proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp., from 1995 to 1999. After the military, he returned to Western Colorado to build his own family roots. He also attended the police and correctional academies at the Technical College of the Rockies, in Delta, Colorado.

He began his career in law enforcement with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office in 2000, as a patrol deputy. Over the years, he has been promoted to several leadership levels, overseeing multiple divisions within the agency, to include professional standards. He was chosen by the previous Sheriff to serve as his Undersheriff overseeing the agency's budget and much more. He currently serves as Sheriff with a high degree of integrity, community focus, and with a common sense approach to policing in Western Colorado.

Sheriff Rowell has an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration. He has been married to Jessica for 18 years and together they have two sons.
